Cambodia with Case and Josh

I feel so lucky that in a world filled with magical places that contain beauty, architectural wonder and spiritual impact, we have visited to so many.  I got to hold hands with my loved one in Borobudur, in Notre Dame, in Sacrada Familia, at Petra, in Bagan,  in Jerusalem and now in Angkor.  It was something the first time alone, but even more wonderful to share it and watch another person react to how otherworldly it is.  And despite the fact that Siem Reap has grown considerably in the five years since I was there last and is crowded with tourists from all over the world, there are many moments walking over the ruins of the temples that you can feel completely alone in the jungle.  The smell of the frangipangi, the noise of the cicadas and birds, and the great collapsed cities lying in front of you to discover is truly a unique experience.  The added benefit of unbelievably friendly people, great food, monkeys, elephants and great company was just the icing on the proverbial cake.
