Mrauk-U

This was once the vibrant center of the Southeast Asian middle ages: a city fortified with the symbols of a series of devout warrior Kings: temples that look like fortresses, and packed with armies of Buddha images inside. It is hilly countryside, with pagodas emerging from each rise and fall of the landscape. At night, the Villagers burn leaves and garbage so the smoke lingers as the sun sets and the light is unbelieveable. The onset of night sounds like barking dogs, playing children and water as women return home from the wells.
