Mrauk-U, Day Two!

The second day of Mrauk-U was full of more pagodas, more buddhas, more details hidden in each. Because of the fickle nature of electricity in Myanmar, we would sometimes be deep in the dark interiors of some of these temples, and the power would go out. So with just the sound of our bare feet against the marble or stone, or just the flicker of a flashlight, serene gazes would slowly be revealed....sometimes even under foot. It is hard to describe how very empty everything is there. Often we were the only people wandering in and out of each magical place.
