Wet Market
The wet market is what they call a market with fresh things, and boy was it fresh here, I turned a corner in Wan Chai and came across this spectacle for the eyes. There were shrimps jumping up and down on the tables, and fish so recently sliced that their lungs were still pumping. There was even a stall with squawking chickens that were being taken in back by a guy with a huge cleaver, but I didn't take a picture of that.,because I didn't want him to come after me with the cleaver. I actually thought all live chickens have been elminated in markets here because there has been some in Kowloon were discovered to have bird flu...so it is a bit strange that they are still selling them here. The government is paying off all the chicken vendors, and it has been big news here.
